Gretl Uhl's Rum Crumb Cake
You are about to have a paradigm shift in what a cake can be.
A very sophisticated and decadent creation that will have everyone begging for more.


TIPS:
  • Let the cake cool slightly before attempting to hollow it out.
  • You can use rum extract or simmer your rum to evaporate the alcohol from it for a kid-friendly version.
  • Let the cake sit covered in a cool place for 1 day before serving. This will make the cake's filling become more firm and easier to cut into serving slices.
    The flavors will have a chance to meld, as well.
